Adviser Sartaj Aziz visits the High Commission

Mr Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs visited the Pakistan High Commission London on 19 April 2016. H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK welcomed the Adviser and introduced him with the officers.
The Adviser had an interaction with the officers of the High Commission and gave them an overview of the foreign policy of Pakistan. He outlined the priorities of Pakistan foreign policy that included our own security, non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs, economic revival and sustainable development, peaceful neighbourhood and turning Pakistan’s geo-strategic location into an asset.
Adviser Aziz stated that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was vital for the progress of Pakistan and the government was focused on its implementation. He also emphasized on the need to step up efforts to improve the image of Pakistan in wake of improved security situation and steady growth in economy. The High Commissioner updated the Adviser on the working and initiatives of the High Commission, including improvement in Consular Services and community outreach. The Adviser also responded to the questions by the officers.
