Virtual University delegation represents Pakistan at AAOU

The 32nd annual conference of the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) was organized at Hanoi, Vietnam on October 24-26, 2018.Themed “Open Education in Human Resource Development for Asia in Period of Integration,” the conference provided a platform for academics and administrators to exchange views and experiences in open and distance learning.The delegation of VU, comprised of faculty members including Prof. Dr. Masroor Elahi Babar, Dean Faculty of Science & Technology, Dr. Mohsin Javed, Director QEC, Mr. Rizwan Saleem Sindhu, Assistant Professor- Department of Management Sciences, Mr. Naveed-ul-Hasan, Instructor Management Sciences, Muhammad Waqas, Instructor Social Sciences and Ms. Ammara Hashmi, Instructor Social Sciences.Virtual University of Pakistan, being the member of AAOU, will host the 33rd Annual Conference of Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) in 2019. While addressing through video link, Dr. Naveed A. Malik, Rector, Virtual University of Pakistan said that holding of this conference at Pakistan in 2019 will be a landmark achievement to bring together open and distance learning academicians, policymakers, practitioners and scholars of Asian countries. He called on member institutions to collaborate more and give support to counterparts with inadequate resources, so that the AAOU could continue to grow and lead the world in open and distance education.Earlier, The Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) also conferred its Meritorious Service Award to Dr. Naveed A. Malik in recognition of his distinguished contributions to the development of open and distance education.
